Flourish Potassium™ delivers a concentrated 50,000 mg/L dose of potassium, an essential nutrient for thriving planted aquariums. Potassium plays a critical role in supporting vigorous plant growth and maintaining overall aquarium health. In rapidly growing aquatic systems or when using low-mineral source water, potassium levels can quickly become depleted, potentially limiting plant development. This supplement helps prevent potassium deficiency, which often manifests as yellowing (chlorosis) in older leaves, necrosis (browning or death), and weakened stems and roots.

To maintain optimal potassium levels, use 1 capful (5 mL) of Flourish Potassium™ for every 125 liters (approximately 30 gallons) of aquarium water. This dosage raises potassium concentration by about 2 mg/L and can be repeated 2–3 times per week or as needed based on plant health and growth indicators. Regular supplementation ensures your aquatic plants receive the potassium necessary for robust photosynthesis, strong root systems, and vibrant foliage.

Flourish Potassium™ is compatible with other aquarium treatments and substrates, including those containing iron and CO2 injection systems, offering an integrated approach to aquatic plant nutrition. Importantly, this product does not get removed by carbon filtration, ensuring consistent nutrient availability. It is safe for use in tanks housing sensitive species such as Amano shrimp (Caridina japonica), with potassium levels adjustable in small increments to avoid overdosing.

While potassium testing kits are available on the market, consistent dosing alongside other supplements like Equilibrium can maintain potassium concentrations within the recommended range of 30–120 ppm, commonly around 50 ppm for healthy planted tanks.
